As we bid farewell to another action-packed month, here in the Elevate EBP office we can’t help but reflect on the incredible accomplishments and impact we’ve made throughout May. Time flies when you’re busy making a difference! We’ve had a whirlwind month of connecting young people with opportunities, building bridges between education and employment, and celebrating milestones! From work experience to primary and secondary careers programmes, and even a new partnership, here’s a snapshot of what we’ve been up to:
In May, our dedicated work experience team facilitated successful placement opportunities for over 300 eager students! We’ve had a couple of students placed in our very own office and it’s been a joy to witness their growth and development as they immersed themselves in real-world settings, gaining invaluable insights into their skills. But that’s not all! The team has also been hard at work preparing placements for a massive influx of students in June and July – our busiest time of year for work experience. Watch this space!
“Our highlights were Dylan’s participation in Organoleptic testing, where he prepared his own sushi with our NPD team for testing. He also produced a poster for Mental Health awareness week. We will be showcasing his design throughout our internal communications. It was a great experience having him work with us throughout the week and we wish him all the best with his future career.”

“The centre enjoyed having two lovely young people with us last week, they now want to volunteer in our Youth Club. We enjoyed having the students who were both very courteous and helpful at all times and were excellent role models for Kirkby High School. Looking forward to hosting another young person.”

Our innovative primary careers programme, Imagine My Future, continued to make waves throughout May. We had the pleasure of delivering engaging sessions to our existing schools, igniting sparks of curiosity and ambition in young minds, all with the support of our Primary Sponsors. As part of the programme, we proudly hosted more of our Careers Carousel events which were attended by a number of exciting organisations and employers. The response from students has been nothing short of amazing, and as this year’s programme draws to a close for a couple of schools, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the businesses involved for their invaluable support.
In addition, we’re thrilled to have launched Imagine My Future with English Martyrs Catholic Primary School, connecting them with their Primary Sponsor, Peel Ports Group, who share our passion for raising aspirations young.
At Elevate EBP, we remain dedicated to bridging the gap between careers and education, and May was no exception. Throughout the month, we continued to deliver high-quality Meet the Professionals, Practice Interviews, and Careers Fairs to hundreds of young people across the Liverpool City Region. None of this would be possible without the unwavering support of the organisations and individuals who generously lend their expertise and time to provide meaningful insights and guidance to our students as they navigate the beginning of their career journey.
May has been a bustle of activity for the Children’s University team as they prepare for our upcoming graduations across Sefton, Liverpool, Lancashire, and Warrington. We’re thrilled to announce our 2023 Graduation Sponsors will include Maestro Academy of Music and Active Sports Group. We’d like to thank our sponsors for their support. The anticipation is mounting as we look forward to kicking off our graduation ceremonies next month and celebrating the achievements of our young learners throughout June and July!
Our Your Future project with Knowsley Council has been instrumental in helping 16 – 19 year olds in Knowsley re-enter the world of education, employment, or training. This bespoke initiative offers one-on-one guidance, support, and training to ensure a successful transition for these individuals, all under the caring mentorship of our dedicated team member Sadie. We want to congratulate the five young people who were unemployed but have now entered back into education, employment or training this month. We wish them all the best of luck with these new opportunities!
To all our Next Steps students, we want to send our warmest wishes as you face your exams. Since September 2021, we’ve been working side by side, supporting you on your educational journey and introducing you to a variety of amazing employers, professionals, and organisations to help you figure out your best next steps. As you approach the end of Year 11, remember that you have our unwavering support, and we eagerly await news of your accomplishments and updates throughout the summer months.
We’re thrilled to announce our newest corporate sponsor, The Door Creative! This exciting partnership holds promise for incredible ventures in the months to come. Stay tuned as we unveil the exciting project and initiatives we’ll be collaborating on with The Door Creative. Their support and expertise will undoubtedly amplify our impact and broaden our horizons.
As the Education Business Partnership for the Liverpool City Region, we’re thrilled to be part of the Your EBP campaign, joining forces with other EBPs to showcase the incredible work happening across the country and highlight the transformative role our network plays in shaping the futures of young people. Together, we are empowering communities and making a lasting impact.
We would like to take a moment to say goodbye and good luck to a valued member of our team, Anita. Anita has been an integral part of the Elevate EBP team, providing invaluable support and guidance to young people as they navigate their educational and career paths. Thank you, Anita – we look forward to hearing about your future successes!
As we bid farewell to an action-packed May, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the businesses, sponsors, schools, and professionals who have contributed their time, expertise, and support to Elevate EBP. You are the driving force behind our mission, and we appreciate the positive change you are creating for our young people.
Here’s to another month filled with Transforming Lives and Creating Growth across the Liverpool City Region!
