Success Story

Career Coach – Ann from Elevate EBP has been working alongside Becky (Mentor) from Talent Match to support their participant Kirsten for approximately 12 months. During this time Ann has supported Kirsten with her employability skills, ensuring she felt confident to present herself within an interview situation which gave her a better chance at securing the job of her dreams.

Kirsten had attended several workshops organized by the Career Coaches which included Practice Interviews, Job Search, CV sessions and Application Form Workshops all of which improved her communication skills and helped Kirsten to understand what was expected of her in
the world of work.
As a result of the Talent Match programme, the support of the Career Coach and the amazing partnerships we have with our local Employment & Skills Officer (NHS & Health), Kirsten has landed an apprenticeship as a Clinical Support Worker with Wirral University Foundation Trust Hospital and is looking forward to a positive future ahead! ‘I had really good support from Becky & Ann over the last year.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Kirsten – Participant                                                                                                                                                                                              ‘They have really helped me find my confidence again and have helped me get back to feeling I can work again. I can’t thank you enough for all the support from them both and also all of the group sessions I have been on this past year.’                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                Ann Edwards – Career Coach on the Talent Match Plus Project                                                                                                                                ‘When I first started to work with Kirsten, she was too nervous to even switch on her camera as her confidence was so low. We worked together sensitively and soon Kirsten was attending group sessions, participating, and eventually got to a stage where she wanted to find work again. The visible difference in Kirsten is amazing and I am very proud of the next steps that she made in her career’.
