Elevate Education Business Partnership (EBP) is proud to announce its collaboration with Liverpool City Region Colleges (working through Hugh Baird College, Bootle) on a strategic initiative aimed at preparing our region’s future workforce through the implementation of the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP). This dynamic delivery partnership represents a significant leap forward in meeting the evolving demands of various industries, all made possible through the funding recently secured via the LSIP framework.

Launched in June 2023, the LSIP stands as a cornerstone for strengthening the links between our region’s workforce capabilities and our growth sector industries, and the recent joint effort of several colleges resulted in the procurement of £4.5 million. This substantial investment will be strategically allocated across six distinct projects, with Elevate EBP and Hugh Baird College leading the delivery of the Pathways to Employment initiative.

At its core, the Pathways to Employment project seeks to narrow the gap between young talent and industry requirements by providing comprehensive insights into career opportunities and skill sets essential for thriving in the region’s priority job roles. Focused on key sectors such as Construction, Manufacturing, Logistics and Warehousing, Professional Business Services, and Digital and Creative industries – all identified as LSIP priority sectors – this initiative aims to encourage dialogue and a deeper understanding of career prospects within our local community.
